吴杰教授现为美国天普大学网络计算研究中心主任和Laura H. Carnell冠名教授，同时担任天普大学科学技术学院国际事务部主任。从2009至2016年期间他被聘为天普大学计算机信息科学系系主任，并于2015至2017年担任国际事务部协理副教务长。他曾担任美国国家科学基金会的项目主任，也是佛罗里达大西洋大学的讲座教授。他的研究领域涉及移动计算、无线网络、路由协议、云计算、网络安全和社交网络应用等方面。吴教授在其研究领域的学术期刊、会议和书籍上发表了多篇高水平学术论文。同时，他担任多个中外著名学术期刊的编委，其中包括IEEE移动计算、IEEE服务计算、IEEE分布式并行计算以及中国计算机科学技术学报。吴教授也是多个国际学术会议的组织者。他曾担任IEEEMASS 2006, IEEE IPDPS 2008，IEEE ICDCS 2013，ACM MobiHoc 2014，ICPP 2016以及IEEE CNS 2016等大会主席，同时担任IEEE INFOCOM 2011和2013中国计算机大会(CNCC)的程序委员会主席。吴教授是AAAS FELLOW和IEEE FELLOW，曾担任IEEE分布式处理技术委员会主席。他还获得过多项荣誉，包括IEEE计算机协会杰出访问教授、ACM杰出演讲者，并于2011年获得中国计算机学会海外杰出贡献奖。
Jie Wu is the Director of the Center for Networked Computing and Laura H. Carnell professorat Temple University. He also serves as the Director of International Affairs at College ofScience and Technology. He served as Chair of Department of Computer and InformationSciences from the summer of 2009 to the summer of 2016 and Associate Vice Provost forInternational Affairs from the fall of 2015 to the summer of 2017. Prior to joining TempleUniversity, he was a program director at the National Science Foundation and was adistinguished professor at Florida Atlantic University. His current research interests includemobile computing and wireless networks, routing protocols, cloud and green computing,network trust and security, and social network applications. Dr. Wu regularly publishes inscholarly journals, conference proceedings, and books. He serves on several editorial boards,including IEEE Transactions onMobile Computing, IEEE Transactions on Service Computing,Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing, and Journal of Computer Science andTechnology. Dr. Wu was general co-chair for IEEE MASS 2006, IEEE IPDPS 2008, IEEEICDCS 2013, ACM MobiHoc 2014, ICPP 2016, and IEEE CNS 2016, as well as program cochair for IEEE INFOCOM 2011 and CCF CNCC 2013. He was an IEEE Computer SocietyDistinguished Visitor, ACM Distinguished Speaker, and chair for the IEEE TechnicalCommittee on Distributed Processing (TCDP). Dr. Wu is a Fellow of the AAAS and a Fellowof the IEEE. He is the recipient of the 2011 China Computer Federation (CCF) OverseasOutstanding Achievement Award.
